Godflesh - Streetcleaner (CD, Album)

Considered the best Godflesh album by almost every fan, with good guys did the same formula for force, distorted bass, smothering walls of churned down guitars & machine gun rhythmic precision of the kit. The album is a powerhouse/5().

Spawned from the breakup of Napalm Death, Godflesh took an altogether different approach to extremity with their debut album 'Streetcleaner', setting up their industrial strength urban sprawl sound with a bone-crushing intensity.

Streetcleaner doesn't burst forth from your speakers so much as it oozes out, a primordial industrial-metal sludge that's almost unspeakably doomy in its pummelling. It's more about atmosphere than technicality and more about heaviness than complexity, but Godflesh accomplish their goals so well on this album that it's hard to take issue/5().
